Meet Stasia Giles
Graduate Counseling Intern | Life Pacific University
For nearly three decades, I have had the privilege of serving in pastoral ministry and walking alongside people of all ages through relationships, family challenges, leadership, life transitions, loss, and some of life’s more difficult seasons. Throughout those years, I have also spent a significant amount of time working with children, teens, and families. Through these experiences, I have seen again and again how powerful it can be when someone has a safe place to be heard, process what they are experiencing, and begin discovering a healthy way forward.
That passion for people and their stories is what led me to pursue professional counseling.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Counseling at Life Pacific University and completing my clinical internship as part of my graduate training. My years in pastoral ministry and working with individuals and families, combined with my education and clinical experience, have continued to deepen my desire to help people better understand themselves, their stories, their relationships, and the patterns that shape their lives.

Sometimes we know something in our lives needs to change, but we aren’t quite sure where to begin. Other times, we may be experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, family challenges, burnout, or a major life transition. Children and teens can also experience seasons when they need a safe and supportive place to process what they are feeling and experiencing.
And sometimes we simply need a safe place to talk through what we’re carrying.
My goal is to create a counseling environment where you feel heard, respected, and safe to be yourself.
I approach counseling relationally and collaboratively. I’m not there to simply tell you what to do or give you all the answers. Instead, I want to walk alongside you, ask meaningful questions, help you recognize connections and patterns, and support you as you develop greater awareness and healthier ways of responding to life.

My experience working with children and teens also includes many years of pastoral, children’s, and youth ministry, giving me the opportunity to walk alongside young people and families through many different ages and seasons of life.
Faith & Counseling
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am, and I understand that for many people, faith is deeply connected to how they understand themselves, their relationships, and their experiences.
For clients who desire it, faith and spirituality can be incorporated into the counseling process. At the same time, counseling is your space. I respect each client’s values, beliefs, experiences, and goals, and my role is to walk alongside you without imposing my own beliefs or expectations.
A Little More About Me
Outside of counseling, I have spent nearly three decades serving in pastoral ministry and currently serve alongside my husband, David, at Abundant Life Foursquare Church in Mooresville, North Carolina. I’m also a mom of two adult sons, and I deeply value faith, family, meaningful relationships, hospitality, and authentic connection.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with people across many stages of life—from children and teens to parents, ministry leaders, and adults navigating significant life transitions.
I also have a special heart for people who spend much of their lives caring for others—pastors, ministry leaders, caregivers, and helping professionals—because sometimes the people who are accustomed to being there for everyone else need a safe place to be cared for, too.

Stasia is currently a graduate counseling student at Life Pacific University. Counseling services are provided as part of her supervised clinical internship and are subject to applicable informed-consent, confidentiality, and clinical training requirements.
